Fried Pork Chops #Recipe @VMburns

VMBURNS: I love fried pork chops. It is one of my favorite meals and I could eat fried pork chops every day. This is my favorite recipe for frying pork chops. You might think these chops are spicy with both hot sauce and cayenne pepper, but it really isn't (at least not to me). However, depending on which brand of hot sauce you use, that might change. I use Frank's Hot Sauce because it adds a bit of spice and extra flavor without a ton of heat. Also, my pictures differ  (slightly) from the ingredient list. I'm single, so I only made 2 pork chops instead of the 4 listed in the recipe, but the recipe is intended for a family. So, follow the written instructions and you'll have a tasty meal.

FRIED PORK CHOPS

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 Boneless pork chops
  • 1 Cup flour
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon hot sauce
  • Canola oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix flour, paprika, salt, pepper, cayenne together in a shallow plate.

  2. Beat eggs and hot sauce together.

  3. Lightly cover pork chops in plastic wrap and pound with a meat tenderizer until it is half the thickness.
  4. Pour enough Canola oil in a skillet with high sides to cover the pork chop half-way.
  5. Dredge each pork chop in flour, then egg, and then flour and place on a rack and allow to dry for 5 minutes while the oil is heating.
  6. When the oil is hot (approximately 360 - 375 F if you use a thermometer), place one pork chop in the hot oil with tongs so you don't splatter the oil and cook for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 5 minutes.
  7.  Remove and place on a paper towel-covered plate. Slice into the meat and verify that the center is only slightly pink. Adjust cooking time if needed for desired doneness.
  8. Repeat with the rest of the pork chops.

  1. We love pork chops too! Thanks for the recipe and I know we would love the addition of the hot sauce so will be trying your recipe soon.

My favorite protein would probably be chicken because I eat it the most. Although hamburger meat can be fixed a zillion ways too. I must add if it's grills or smoked meat, I'm all in whatever the form of protein. Hubby is an expert at cooking those meats while I fix the sides. With that all being said, I must admit I am a big protein lover.

  3. Pork chops have to be cooked carefuuly so they do't dry out and get tough. If done right, they are quite tasty.
