Cream Cheese Icing for Hummingbird Cupcakes from Vicki Delany

 Last time I shared my recipe for hummingbird cupcakes. You can use your favourite icing on these cupcakes, but I like this cream cheese recipe.

Cream Cheese Icing


  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 3-3/4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Add confectioners’ sugar and vanilla; beat until smooth. Spread or pipe onto each cupcake.
