Peach Cobbler and Giveaway from Guest Author Olivia Matthews @BooksbyPatricia

Hello everyone, Mia P. Manansala here!
Please give our guest author, Olivia Matthews, a very warm welcome to Mystery Lovers Kitchen! I greatly enjoy her Peach Coast Library Mystery series, and I was lucky enough to read an early version of her new culinary cozy series coming out next year. It's still early days, so I can't say too much about it, but believe me when I say the setting is fun, the food delicious, and the mystery nice and twisty.

Today, she'll be sharing a recipe to pair with MURDER BY PAGE ONE, the first book in the Peach Coast Library Mystery series, as well as a giveaway, so make sure to read to the end!

Peach cobbler and a warm drink
Guest Author Olivia Matthews’s Peach Cobbler

Thank you so much for welcoming me to the Mystery Lovers’ Kitchen. I’m thrilled to be here. A huge thank you to Mia P. Manansala for the invitation to visit with you.

Peach cobblers play a big role in Murder by Page One, the first book in my Peach Coast Library Mystery cozy mystery series, which is available now. A different dessert takes center stage in book two, Murder out of Character, which releases in September. However, the cobbler makes several special appearances.

Before writing my Peach Coast Library Mystery series, I’d never had peach cobbler. I know, shocking! And this is the first time I’ve ever made the dessert. Are you ready for an adventure?

But first, let me know your favorite reading time snack. I’m awarding a copy of Murder by Page One, the first book in my Peach Coast Library Mystery cozy mystery series, randomly to one commentor. Open to the U.S. and Canada.

If you love Hallmark mystery movies, you’ll love this cozy mystery with humor, intrigue, and a hint of romance.

Marvey, still adjusting to life in Peach Coast, Georgia, is at a library fundraising event when she comes across a list of four names. One is the name of someone who recently died—and who may have been murdered. Another is Spencer Holt, the handsome newspaper owner who’s become one of Marvey’s best friends.

The four people appear to have nothing in common other than living in Peach Coast. Spencer dismisses the list at first, but before long, he has to admit he may be in danger. As Marvey prepares for a visit from her parents, can she, Spencer, and their intrepid librarian friends stop a killer bent on long overdue revenge?

  2. Sounds like an awesome series! I love peaches and since we have two peach trees in the yard I'm always looking for new peach recipes.
I don't do a lot of snaking while reading but when I do I usually go for M&MS or a trail mix.

  3. Since I'm a nibble - both out of habit and also because of medical issues - one of my favorite reading snacks is popcorn, pretzels or dry cereal. I'm not necessarily a "sweet" eater so for me it's not about candy or cake. Since we all know that a lot of eating while reading is empty calories (meaning we go through the process but the mind isn't on the food as much as the reading), I limit the times and quantities in the bowl.

Can't wait for the opportunity to read both books in the A Peach Coast Library Mystery. Sound amazing and are on my TBR list. Thank you for the chance to win a copy of "Murder by Page One" to get me started in the right direction. Shared and hoping to be the fortunate one selected so I can not only read the book, but also review it as well.

  15. Peach cobbler is a favorite of mine, actually most fruits as a cobbler are a favorite! I prefer to snack on nuts or popcorn. I mix up my own "mixed nuts" lend, usually with cashews, almonds and pistachios, sometimes pecans or peanuts.
