So now I’m always trying to look for recipes that have all the yumminess I enjoy, but at a lighter calorie count. These peanut butter and chocolate cookies fit the bill—and were a HUGE hit with the teenagers and their friends.

Shirley, these look delicious! Can't wait to try them. And I LOVE your book covers. The stories look as delicious as the cookies!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying these right away! They'll be the perfect sweet treat at our next wine tasting party.
ReplyDeleteShirley, these sound super. Light and divine. Thanks for being a guest on MLK today!

Thanks so much, Meg! I tell you, it was tough research for those books, LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks for having me here, Peg!
They were awesome, Avery! A big hit all around in my family!
Shirley
I've read so many of your books now, Shirley, and can't wait to read this series on my Kindle as I missed reading them in book form. I pinned you and your recipe on my Pinterest site. (You, as a Hoosier author and your recipe under Food!)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun this site is as it combines two of my favorite interests--food and books, especially mysteries and romance.
Keep writing, Shirley! (And keep sharing those recipes!)
Thanks, Crystal! I agree...I love the combination of food and books! :-) And thank you for the pin! After I turn in this book, I'm going to check out Pinterest!

You can't imagine how much better you have made me feel! 9 pounds per book! Yikes! I've put on weight writing about food, too. Hey -- someone has to taste test everything and it doesn't all work out the way we'd like the first or even second time around.
ReplyDeleteI love your titles. And this cookie recipe is going into my must bake file!
Thanks for visiting with us today.

Thanks, Krista!
ReplyDeleteLOL, because that book/weight gain thing is a big reason why I have to exercise all the time (right now I just started the Self Magazine Drop 10 Diet Challenge and formed a group over on Facebook for folks who want to do it too). Even proofing those books makes me hungry ;-)
Shirley
I've got everything except the half and half! I'm so glad you posted today.
ReplyDeleteoff to the kitchen....
Thanks, Book Dragon! I hope they turned out awesome! :-)
