Herb Rubbed Grilled Chicken @TinaKashian #Giveaway

Hello from TINA KASHIAN! I hope everyone had a Happy Mother’s Day! I was fortunate to be with my two teen girls and John. We spent the day together and it was lovely. My own mother passed away when I was in my twenties and she never had a chance to see my wedding or my girls. I miss her! Today, I am sharing an easy and tasty chicken recipe and giving away the first book in my Kebab Kitchen series. An easy recipe is just what mothers need after a busy day. Hug your mothers!

I'm sharing a picture of me and mom!

Ingredients:

2 boneless and skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon light brown sugar

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon Italian seasonings

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

1 tablespoon butter, sliced

Directions:

Combine all the dry ingredients in a small bowl. Mix to make a rub.

Rub the olive oil on both sides of the chicken breasts. Add the dry ingredients to the chicken and spread to make a rub. Place seasoned chicken in a foil packet. Top each chicken breast with a slice of butter.

Grill until internal temperature 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Enjoy!

How did you spend your Mother’s Day? Please share for a chance to win a signed, print copy of the first book in my Kebab Kitchen series, ‘Hummus and Homicide" (U.S. Only for print). Please leave an email address when leaving your comment.

A Kebab Kitchen Mystery

When Lucy Berberian quits her Philadelphia law firm and heads home to Ocean Crest, she knows what she’s getting—the scent of funnel cake, the sight of the wooden roller coaster, and the tastes of her family’s Mediterranean restaurant. But murder wasn’t on the menu…

Things are slow in the off-season in this Jersey Shore town, but Lucy doesn’t mind. She doesn’t even mind waitressing at the Kebab Kitchen. Her parents have put in a new hummus bar, with every flavor from lemon to roasted red pepper. It’s fun to see their calico cat again, and to catch up with her old BFF, who’s married to a cop now.

She could do without Heather Banks, though. The Gucci-toting ex-cheerleader is still as nasty as she was back in high school…and unfortunately, she’s just taken over as the local health inspector. Just minutes after eating at the Kebab Kitchen—where she’s tallied up a whole list of bogus violations—she falls down dead in the street. Word on the grapevine is it’s homicide, and Lucy’s the number one suspect…

  1. Thank you for the Herb Rubbed Grilled Chicken recipe. Chicken is my favorite meat so I'm always looking for new ways to serve it.

We are planning a trip at the end of the week to visit friends and then on up into an Amish community. We are never one to stick to having to celebrate an event on a certain day. So I told hubby that we would postpone Mother's Day until then. My friend and I are alike in having our mothers in heaven and having lost our child. So yesterday we worked some on gotta get done things before leaving, sitting on the porch taking photos of our daily critter visitors and eating a fabulous wood fired steak hubby cooked while I did some sides to go along with it. It was not only a productive day, but also a very enjoyable one.

Thank you for the fabulous opportunity to win a copy of "Hummus and Homicide"! Shared and hoping to be the fortunate one selected.

    1. Camping is great. We traveled cross country in my father's mother home. We stopped at camp grounds all over the country. We didn't sleep in a tent but it was still an amazing trip.

  9. My sweetheart for 54 years and I had a homemade biscuits with jam and cheese for breakfast, we went to church, then ate Thai Masaman Curry for lunch, and then went outside to read. I read out loud for both of us because my wife has problems reading due to macular degeneration. I enjoy changing the voices for each character, which makes it more fun. A quiet, yet FUN-tastic day as we celebrate every day full of joy and laughter. I hope everyone had a joyous Mothers' Day!!! luis at ole dot travel

  15. Happy Mothers Day. Sounds like you had a great time. My husband took me to a pottery place where we choose a piece and then paint it how we wish. Now this week it will be put in the kiln and we will pick up our pieces on the weekend. Than he took me to a Mexican restaurant, my husband does not like mexican food so it was super special. He went online and checked out the menu before hand. I grew up in CA in the desert on a ranch and most of what we ate was mexican food. I love the real stuff. It was a wonderful weekend.
