Halloween Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins @TinaKashian1 #Halloween

Hello from TINA KASHIANWe enjoy Rice Krispie treats in our house. This recipe is the same, but we add a decorative twist for fall and Halloween by turning the treats into pumpkins. I made this with my younger daughter, and we had fun. They are also great to take to parties. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons butter

1 package of marshmallows (10 oz)

5 ½ cups Rice Krispies cereal (generic is fine)

Red and yellow liquid food coloring

Tootsie Rolls

Green M&Ms

1 tablespoon melted butter in a small bowl reserved

Directions:

In a large saucepan melt 3 tablespoons butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.

Remove from heat. Add yellow and red food coloring to make orange. I used 12 drops yellow and 3 drops red. Mix well to obtain a nice orange color.

Add the Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until all combined.

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a small bowl in the microwave. We used food service gloves and coated both sides of our hands with butter to prevent the mixture from sticking. Roll the mixture into small balls. Set on a serving plate. Cut the tootsie rolls in half and gently press them into the top of each pumpkin for the stem. Add a green M&M beside it as a leaf. Allow to cool. Enjoy!

Not even her impending nuptials can keep Lucy Berberian, manager of her family-owned Kebab Kitchen, from the Jersey Shore’s annual Polar Bear Plunge. But her dive into the icy ocean is especially chilling when she finds a fellow swimmer doing the dead man’s float—for real . . .

Who would kill a man in cold blood during Ocean Crest, New Jersey’s most popular winter event? When Lucy learns the victim is Deacon Spooner, the reception hall owner who turned up his nose—and his price—at her wedding plans, she can’t help wondering who wouldn’t kill the pompous caterer . . .

Perhaps the culprit is the wedding cake baker whose career Deacon nearly destroyed? Or the angry bride whose reception he ruined? With her maid of honor, Katie, busily planning Lucy’s wedding without her, Lucy will have to get to the bottom of this cold-hearted business in time for Kebab Kitchen’s mouthwatering Christmas celebration—and before her hometown’s holiday spirit washes out to sea . . .
