LESLIE BUDEWITZ: Could these ghostly cookies be any cuter? No tricks to these treats. They can’t be simpler, and that’s what we want for holiday fun, right?
You could make your own biscotti, but for this non-recipe recipe, go ahead and buy them. Any flavor, plain or chocolate-covered, will do. Mine weren’t real wide on the flat side, but still easy to decorate. I used a spoon for the white chocolate and a chop stick for the dark chocolate, though my mouths turned out more round than a ghostly O! Follow my honey’s advice, as I did, and test your drawing skills on the parchment paper before decorating.
When I was a kid, my mother and I took ceramics classes at a studio near her house. She made the darling little pumpkin.
Happy haunting!

Lay a sheet of parchment paper on a cutting board. Lay your cookies on top of it, on a flat side.
Melt the white chocolate. Use a spoon to spread white chocolate on one end of each cookie, making a curved ghost-like shape at the bottom edge. Don’t worry about any drips on to the edges of the cookies—they add to the ghostly effect. Allow to sit, until chocolate is hard, about an hour.

What an adorable and fun idea! Thanks for giving us such a great idea to add a little boo and a little extra to something I love to start with.
