MADDIE DAY here, with a refreshing summer drink.
Peach Hoagy
Ingredients
For one drink:
2 ounces chilled peach nectar
1 ounce peach moonshine (use peach
brandy if you can’t find moonshine)
1 ounce Four Roses bourbon
Juice of 1 lime quarter
1 slice ripe peach
Combine the first five ingredients
in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled and pour into a martini glass.
Garnish with peach slice.
Option: If it’s too sweet for you,
make in a Manhattan glass on ice and add lime seltzer, and/or increase the
bourbon.

ReplyDeleteYour drink sounds very tasty but we prefer flavored Vodka or Arack.
ReplyDeleteLove a drink I found on a trip where we stayed the night at a Drury Inn where they have a "kicking back" every evening with free food and drinks. It was called Skittle and they made it with vodka, sprite, orange juice, grenadine and a splash of sweet and sour topped with cherries. I prefer it and ask for it when we stop at a Drury in the virgin form. Not much of a drinker of alcoholic beverages, but love the flavors of all the fruit flavors. At home, I'm more of a simple type and love fresh squeezed lemonade any season of the year.

I love sipping a small Limoncello straight from the freezer on a hot summer evening while relaxing with my dogs on my shady porch.
ReplyDeleteFresh lemons or limes always perk things up! I love all fruits and go through phases (and experiments) with beverages, depending on the season, who I'm with, and occasion. I used to make my own limoncello, & pineapple Margahooties, among other things. Before Covid, for about a decade one of my BFF's & I celebrated with Strawberry Daiquiris or different flavored mojitos, then my sister-in-law turned me on to Watermelon Margaritas, with salty rims and a small slice of melon wedged on the side of the frozen glass, yum! A real summer treat. lola777_22 at hotmail dot com
ReplyDeleteMy favorite drink is an iced Mocha I make every morning. 2 shots espresso, Hershey syrup, homemade simple syrup and skim milk. I may or may not have multiple mochas a day lol
