I so like an easy recipe. I'm going to love this one. It also reminded me of the comedienne Jeanne Robertson's You Tube video of "Never send a man to the grocery store". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YFRUSTiFUs
ReplyDeleteHa! Thanks for the link, I really enjoyed it! And I hope you enjoy the easy sauce. It truly is lip-smackin' good--and so much better because you make it yourself (so Ms. Robertson would be happy)!

Cleo, you make an easy recipe sound so amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the empty dish!
ReplyDeleteCleo, I can't wait to try this! First, I never realized that the butter would tame the acidity of the tomatoes. The idea of adding butter makes my taste buds dance. I also never knew that crushed tomatoes are often of an inferior quality. From now on, only whole Italian plum tomatoes for me!
ReplyDeleteI love this, Cleo! It really shows the magic of good quality simple ingredients when prepared right. It's already printed out and on my fridge waiting for the spaghetti squash to arrive tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for mentioning that non-starchy alternative!

So easy my Jenna Hart character could make this! Thanks, Cleo. Love a simple spaghetti sauce. Yum!

Belated thanks to you all for the kind comments. Marc and I really enjoy this sauce (for its ease as much as its lick-the-spoon flavor). We hope you all do, too!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
