And now our contest news! Julie's contest is a wrap! Congrats to
Margaret (Mamadrama) and Ken M!
And now to celebrate the upcoming release of THE LONG QUICHE GOOD-BYE,
Avery is hosting our next exciting contest!

Here is the link to Avery’s website to help get you started.
Yum, I love stir fry! This sounds delicious. Also I entered Avery's contest; I'm really looking forward to the release of The Long Quiche Goodbye.
ReplyDeleteJenn, you're cracking me up with the wok jokes! Too funny..I'm giggling to myself. I love my wok and this sounds like a winner--as does your hubby, who cooks for you!
ReplyDeleteWe've had a wok for decades, but we kind of gave up making stir-fry because it just didn't taste like Chinese food. Yes, we use all those lovely ingredients you list, including freshly-grated ginger and sesame oil, but it still tastes blah.
ReplyDeleteSo all you foodies out there, is there a special "Chinese Restaurant" spray or powder they aren't telling us about? Do we just slather on the MSG and hope for the best? What's the secret??
Super healthy recipe, Jenn, and I have always maintained that a man at the stove is a beautiful thing -- or, to put it another way: Real men *make* quiche! (As in Avery’s Long Quiche Goodbye contest, which I’m thinking of entering because the clue hunt looks like lots of fun.)
ReplyDeleteGreat puns in your post, BTW, none are coming to mind for me, but I'll wok on it. (Wait! I have a thematic one or my comment: I like to wok up and smell a man cooking. Oh! Ouch! Sorry!)
Cheers and have a great day,

Ok, I'm LOL about all the wok jokes. Too funny. Jenn, thanks for the great recipe. Sheila, MSG isn't the secret. That's just a binder. Cornstarch does the same thing. If it tastes blah, add a little diced garlic or a tablespoon of mustard. That seems to always give it the zing I miss from a restaurant.
ReplyDeleteJenn, thanks for posting about my contest. We had two people enter right after midnight last night. Hello, nightowls!
~Avery
Thanks for humoring me, everyone. I do love a good pun or even better -- a bad one!
ReplyDeleteShel, thanks for the kind words and definitely enter Avery's contest soon -- it looks like a winner (ha, sorry).
E, yes, you do have to love a man who can wok and roll. Okay, SORRY, I can't help myself.
Sheila, I think Avery is right. Garlic or mustard should make all the difference.
Cleo, too funny! Real men do make quiche and stir-fry;-)
Avery, my pleasure. I am eagerly awaiting your book. Hub says I'm a cheese snob (I do love my exotic cheeses) so your book is a perfect fit for me.
Wok on!
Wok like an Egyptian
ReplyDeletePah ha ha ha ha! You got me, Dave.
ReplyDeleteNicely played, sir.
This sounds great, Jenn! Maybe I'll take a wok on the wild side and try it! (Couldn't resist) Great ingredients and so nice and simple. Cilantro...mmm... i just planted some so I'll have it handy to wok with all summer.
ReplyDeleteAddictive...
*grin*

I'm one of the night owls that entered Avery's contest last night. Loved the clue hunt!
ReplyDeleteJust got home, looks like the day isn't over yet, and I'm so hungry. Jenn, could you cyber-send that to me? I'll just wait right here . . .

LOL, it's on its way, Krista!
