Last week I talked a little bit about Puppy Chow and how my kids and all their friends love it. It's a party staple around here, and although I never actually made it myself until today, I knew the time would come where I'd have to learn the recipe.

I love Puppy Chow... I can't get enough of it when it is around!
ReplyDeleteThe title definitely grabbed my attention this morning. This sounds great. Quick, simple and fun to have around for guests. Thanks.

Thoughts in Progress
Kristen - isn't it great! Crunchy, sweet, chocolatey, with substance from the peanut butter... Yum!
ReplyDeleteMason - Glad you liked the title and it is really great. I was surprised at how easy it was to make. The batch I prepared for this post (made it yesterday) is almost gone already!
I have to try this sometime. Thanks for sharing it, Julie. I've been curious ever since you mentioned it!

Oh, I have to try this. Looks like a definite winner, and the perfect inclusion in the goody boxes I send to my brother and his family in London. Two kids, two dog-loving adults - they'll love this!
ReplyDeleteKrista - my pleasure. It seems every time we serve it, we get a bunch of people who have never heard of it before, so I'm happy to share.
ReplyDeleteLaineshots - I bet they'll really enjoy it. How sweet to send goody boxes to family! A little love from across the pond!
Thank you, Julie! I honestly never heard of Puppy Chow before you mentioned it last week. I'm so glad you took the time and trouble to share this with us. What a great party food for kids *and* adults. And it's the kind of fun recipe that you can make your own, too...I'd love to try tossing in some raisins and nuts; maybe even shredded coconut. (Of course, I'm channeling some of my favorite candy bars - Chunky, Mounds, Almond Joy... :)
ReplyDeleteThanks again and have a great week,
~ Cleo

How have I managed to live this long and never have Puppy Chow?! I can't wait to fix some of this - thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteCleo - I just love the idea of adding coconut. Ooh.. that could be delicious. I love Mounds and Almond Joy, too. Hmm... coconut.... thanks for the suggestion.
ReplyDeleteKaye - Glad to add this fun snack to your repertoire, Kaye! I promise, it's a crowd pleaser!
Oh, I've been needing a major chocolate fix lately. This'll be just the ticket...not too heavy, either. Thanks Julie!
ReplyDeleteOh yum. Yum yum yum. Especially with a little coconut thrown in. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so yummy, and although we don't have our stove yet, we DO have a microwave!
ReplyDeleteMy kids love this stuff and we add coconut at times which is my favorite.
