Hello from TINA KASHIAN! I’m a chocoholic. I crave a piece of chocolate every day. It helps give me the boost when I write at night after the day job. I prefer dark chocolate, but I’m not picky when all we have is milk chocolate in the house. My husband, John, has learned to never eat the last square of chocolate without replenishing it for me. Here’s a simple recipe for dark chocolate fudge for Valentine’s Day. I made it a little special with a heart-shaped mold and heart sprinkles. I wish you and your family a Happy and Healthy valentine’s Day! xoxo
Ingredients:
3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
Dash of salt
1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Heart Shaped Sprinkles (optional)
Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine chocolate chips with
sweetened condensed milk and salt.
Microwave for 1 ½ minutes. Mix. If chips are not melted, then return to the microwave for 30-second increments until the chips are melted. Mix until smooth. Add vanilla. Mix again.
Spread evenly in an 8- or 9-inch pan lined with wax paper. The wax paper makes it much easier to remove the fudge later. You can also get fancy with a heart shaped silicone mold. Chill for two hours.
Remove from pan by lifting the edges of the wax paper. Cut into squares and enjoy!
John and are I are staying home and ordering out to celebrate the day. What are your plans for Valentine's Day this year?
