Banana Bread Mug Cake from @TinaKashian #giveaway

Hello from TINA KASHIAN! We love banana bread in our house, but we dislike heating the oven when it is ninety degrees or hotter outside. I found this recipe online and changed it a bit. I also added chocolate chips which is another favorite with my two girls. Who doesn't like chocolate? This banana bread mug cake is easy to make and cooks in the microwave in one minute. The ingredients are readily available in any household as well. To my surprise, it tastes like oven-baked banana bread. This recipe is for one mug—a quick snack. You can double or triple it for more. My girls made it on their own and liked it a lot. Always a win!

Ingredients:

½ mashed banana (use a ripe banana)

2 tbsp flour

½ tsp baking powder

1 tbsp maple syrup

½ tbsp milk

Chocolate chips or chopped nuts (whichever you prefer or both!)

Directions:

Mash the ripe banana in a microwave safe mug.

Add the flour, baking powder, maple syrup and milk. Mix until combined.

Sprinkle the chocolate chips or nuts on top to your liking.

Microwave uncovered for one minute. Cool for two minutes.

Enjoy your banana bread snack!

Lucy Berberian is busy preparing her family’s Mediterranean restaurant for Easter on the Jersey Shore—but a batch of sweets is to die for . . .

Bikers are thundering into the seaside town of Ocean Crest for the annual Bikers on the Beach gathering that raises funds for injured veterans. It’s a big boost for the Kebab Kitchen, as well as for local businesses like Melanie Haven’s candy shop. But Melanie is about to find herself in a sticky situation.

When Melanie and Lucy attend a beach bonfire, a local landlord is found dead after apparently choking on a piece of salt water taffy. Melanie, who was known to have a contentious relationship with the victim, is quickly skewered as the prime suspect. But Lucy is determined to prove her friend’s innocence before the real killer coasts free . . .

  18. Thanks for reminding me of making a quick mug cake, Tina! I usually head for cheese and crackers, sometimes with olives or fruit on the side. Heaven for me is a slightly nuked wedge of Brie on Carr's pepper flavored water crackers or thin slices of a baguette, with ripe cherries, plums or pears on the side, yum! lola777_22 at hotmail dot com
