A perfect drink for a perfect book!
ReplyDeleteDo you know how hard it is to get a proper daiquiri? All they know is frozen daiquiris which are not a true daiquiri (in my humble, but accurate opinion). It isn't as if they are difficult.
Thanks for the recipe.
Best wishes to you all on your newest book babies.
thanks Libby--we appreciate your support and raise a toast to all our MLK readers! xo
DeleteJust what the doctor ordered, Lucy/Roberta!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
MJ (making dacquiri plans)
If we were only all in the same latitude--we could share a pitcher! xo
DeleteYour drink sounds delish Lucy. Perhaps I will make myself one when I am writing my review of Murder with Ganache.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant Kristopher--just don't write, drink, and drive! Can't wait to hear what you thought...
DeleteLucy/Roberta, your cool drink recipe warmed my husband's heart. His parents made dacquiris all summer. Like Libby D., Marc's mother (who once worked as a pro party planner at Stouffer's Restaurant, among many other food service jobs she held over the years) dismissed the frozen variety, although I've got no problem with them! So kudos to you and Susan for the excellent drink and your upcoming release next week - Murder with Ganache!
ReplyDelete~ Cleo
Thanks Cleo--you know, I haven't had a daiquiri in years. But Susan inspired me:). Cheers to you and Marc!
DeleteEasy, yummy! Can't wait to try this. Can't wait for your new book to come out. Might be the perfect day for a daiquiri!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Daryl / Avery
thanks Daryl/Avery, right back at you! Next week is a fabulous week for cozy fans:)
DeleteDear Lucy/Roberta: When we retired and moved to a smaller home, some thing had to be packed away and only taken out when absolutely needed. Well, my daiquiri glasses were one of those things. But, just reading about making these refreshing citrus drinks makes me long for those old days sitting by my pool and sharing a pitcher of daiquiri's with my book group. So, as soon as I find the box with my nice crystal daiquiri glasses, I will be enjoying them once again. (I am one of those people who like to drink from a glass made for that drink. But if I get really desperate, I will use a coffee mug; some ideas change, and that is one of them.!)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nice post and good luck to you and the other ladies with all of your releases next week. Love everyone's books.
Cynthia
thank you so much for the good wishes Cynthia! Yes, I think you must find those crystal daiquiri glasses right away:) xo
DeleteLucy, one of the best drinks I ever had was a Rum Runner in Islamorada. I imagine you kicking back on the sand with a Lucy Burdette and enjoying the sunshine! Sounds simply perfect!
ReplyDelete~Krista
thsi sounds yummy! As does the book! I can imagine havng one of these on my cruise!
ReplyDeleteA cruise will be the perfect setting for this drink--and reading!! xo
