SUBJECT: Sheila Connolly
GUILTY OF: Doing in Do-Gooders
DETAILS: In this intriguing new release from Sheila, the 4th in her Museum Mysteries series, Nell Pratt, president of the Pennsylvania Antiquarian Society in Philadelphia, relies on the generosity of philanthropists. But when someone starts killing benefactors, it’s Nell’s turn to come to their aid...

THE STORY: When Nell reads the obituary of a former board member, Adeline Harrison, she makes a mental note to send flowers and doesn’t think twice about it—until FBI agent James Morrison shares his suspicions about the nature of Adeline’s death. It turns out that a number of other members of the local cultural community have died in the last few months, under similar circumstances.
Soon Nell uncovers what seems to be a plot to rid Philadelphia of harmless, elderly philanthropists—but why? If she can figure out the killer’s motive, she has a chance of stopping the misanthropic murderer before another do-gooder is done in.

THE STORY: Aging soap star Felicity Davenport is looking to revamp her image, and she’s using Gigi’s Gourmet De-Lite to help her shed a few of those unwanted pounds. Having such a high-profile client is definitely good for business, but when Felicity is found murdered in her sauna, things start getting too hot for Gigi to handle.
The list of suspects is a mile long, and Gigi’s best friend, Sienna, is at the top. ReplyDeleteI love this series - would love to win a book!
ReplyDeleteI have added all three to my must read list. Posting three great recipes was a great idea, but a bad one for me since I am trying to drop pounds....oh well a few 1000 more miles of walking should take care of it. :D
ReplyDeleteYou sound like me, Cricket! My dogs force me to walk, which is a very good thing!

Congrats on all the book releases today. All sound like great reads. Krista I have a friend that has started a pit bull rescue. I gave her a link to Linda O Johnson blog about the cupcake pupcake party. Told her she should think about having one.
ReplyDeleteYour friend must be a wonderful person. I'm so sad for pit bulls. They tell me that an overwhelming percentage of the dogs in shelters are pit bulls. It's tragic.
Delete~Krista
Yes, she is a very dedicated person to the cause. Her first dog was a rescued bait dog Thea. Now she devotes her time saving others. In some states they get an automatic death sentence. They don't even try to save them. very sad.
DeleteCleo, what an absolutely adorable post! Congrats to Krista, Peg & Sheila. May you sell a ton of books and make lots of readers happy!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Daryl / Avery
Love the book blurbs & the recipes! Thanks for sharing ladies! Congratulations on your upcoming releases!

I was thrilled to find out about a couple of the new releases, and for one, didn't realize that Sheila had a new book out. The recipes are great, and the cupcakes might be something that will work out well for a summer birthday party for my grandchildren. Love Cleo's recipes all the time and it is great to see other mystery writers adding to them. I thought I would never need another recipes with all that I have collected for 50 years, but I still include "just one more" and "one more" and now I need to take a whole weekend to make all the new favorites.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great webpage committed to the mystery writers. Love it.
Ceblain, I know just how you feel. But there's always something new to try. The applesauce spice cupcakes with caramel frosting in my book have been a big hit. I bet your grandchildren would love them.

ReplyDeleteI need more time to read LOL. All three look delicious - I mean they look like good reads! How many calories per book?
ReplyDeleteAll the food items look amazing, I became allergic to chocolate last year so it is great to find new desserts without coco :), even ones with coco look amazing, and I enjoy making them for those who can eat it.
