* In high school I played the clarinet (fairly well) and

the guitar (badly).
* I once had a business lunch with Luke Skywalker. (Well, that's what I told my nephews, anyway.) My lunch was really with the actor Mark Hamill, who has eyes bluer than star sapphires. Can you say distracting? I could hardly concentrate on what the man was saying.
Elizabeth Spann Craig

* The only thing vaguely interesting is that I'm a direct descendant of President John Adams (and his son, of course.) Not that that's anything of my doing!
Krista Davis

* A very young and cute Frank Beamer was once my math teacher long before he became the football coach of the Virginia Tech Hokies.

* I was an extra on a TV show with Peter Strauss called Moloney and it actually aired for several episodes, including the one in which I was moving scenery.
And now that you know all these things about us, we're going to pass along The Fabulous Sugar Doll Blogger Award to one of our friends. Lesa Holstine, hard-working librarian and reviewer of books, we award you The Fabulous Sugar Doll Blogger Award! It's your turn to tell us ten little-known things about yourself!
Congratulations to Lesa--a true doll! And thanks to A Year on the Grill...I enjoyed finding out more about my fellow mystery writing cooks!

Oh, my gosh! And, I'm the only one who won this from you? Thank you! OK, I've been telling people little known facts about myself all week, but I'll see if I can come up with 10 more to put on my blog today or tomorrow. Thank you so much. I just don't know that there are ten interesting facts about me that are anywhere near what all of you just put up. Unfair! You only had to do 2 apiece. (smile)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Sugar Doll Award! And, thank you, Riley, for the comment.
Adding my thanks to Dave at Year on the Grill for his spirited support of our blog and his great tips for slap-happy carnivores (like me)!
ReplyDeleteAlso sending my Sugar Doll love out to Lesa Holstine who keeps us all informed of upcoming book releases and author and industry news. She's a true Literary Sugar Doll (and a superior blog follow)!

This was so much fun. Thanks, "A Year on the Grill"!! I loved finding out these new and interesting tidbits about my blog-mates. And now I'll be interested to read more interesting things about Lesa! This is fun!

Congratulations Lesa. Looking forward to learning 10 more things about you. Enjoyed the 10 items from the Mystery Ladies too. You ladies are quite interesting, no wonder this site is the best. Congratulations to all of you as well.
ReplyDeleteWell deserved award! It takes lots of interesting life experience to write fabulous stories. But don't tell Jane Austen. Good job, everyone!
ReplyDeleteA well-deserved award for Lesa. I think her blog was the very first book blog that I ever encountered. Loved her then and still do now!
ReplyDeleteThank you, everyone! So, I'll put my ten things about me up later today, if I ever get my darned video uploaded for tomorrow. It's a first for me on my blog! And, Krista's forthcoming book, The Diva Paints the Town will be on there, if it works out right. If not, maybe I should make that #10 about me.
ReplyDeleteJanel, Mason, Cleo, Julie - Thanks for the added love. If you read my blog today, you can see I always need it. Thank you! It's good for my confidence.
ReplyDeleteYou all know you are sugar dolls to me
ReplyDelete;-)
OK, I posted the ten interesting things about me. Let's see if anyone thinks those are interesting!
ReplyDeleteThank you again for the sweet award!
Lesa, I admit I'm glad we only had to do two interesting things! I can't imagine coming up with 10.
ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning The Diva Paints the Town! I can't believe it's almost here!
