Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon @TinaKashian

Hello from TINA KASHIANSalmon is my favorite seafood. I’m always looking for different ways to cook salmon and I found this recipe on Pinterest. I modified it to suit our tastes. It was easy to prepare and I had all the ingredients in my pantry and refrigerator. The salmon came out moist and flavorful, and I’ll be using this recipe again.

Ingredients:

¼ cup packed light brown sugar

2 Tbsp Dijon mustard

1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper

2 lbs salmon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking dish with foil. In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, oil, salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.

Place the salmon on the prepared baking dish skin side down. Generously spread the glaze over the top and sides of the fish.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until the fish flakes easy with a fork. Serve with rice pilaf. Enjoy!

  1. Oh that sounds delicious! Honestly don't know of a fish we don't enjoy. Hubby and I both love our fish/seafood and it's on the menu a couple times each week.

  2. My 6 year old granddaughter would eat salmon 7 days a week if it were offered!
I prefer steelhead trout. It taste very similar to salmon, but it isn't quite as overwhelmingly oily.

    1. Hello Libby. How funny that your six year old granddaughter likes salmon! I have one daughter who loves it and one who won't touch it. I'm hoping she will learn to like it as an adult.

    2. Her mom would order a salmon dinner in a restaurant, planning to share part of it with her daughter. She discovered that didn't work because she ended up with almost no dinner herself!

  3. I am a chicken person. I could eat it every day and especially love it in casseroles. I wish I liked salmon- it's so good for you. My neighbor swears by orange juice on her salmon.

    1. Lemon or orange juice goes well with salmon in a marinate. I also like citrus on my fish. I do enjoy chicken, but not everyday. I like to change it up a bit.
