The Fabulous Sugar Doll Blogger Award!

The authors of Mystery Lovers' Kitchen are very honored to have received The Fabulous Sugar Doll Blogger Award from Dave at My Year On the Grill! As the recipients of this honor, we're supposed to share ten interesting things about us. Don't worry, we're not listing sixty interesting things! But we are sharing two facts each.

Thanks, Dave!

In alphabetical order --

Avery Aames

* As an actress, I costarred on “Murder, She Wrote” and “Matlock.”

* I hitchhiked around Ireland by myself.

Cleo Coyle

* In high school I played the clarinet (fairly well) and
the guitar (badly).

* I once had a business lunch with Luke Skywalker. (Well, that's what I told my nephews, anyway.) My lunch was really with the actor Mark Hamill, who has eyes bluer than star sapphires. Can you say distracting? I could hardly concentrate on what the man was saying.

Elizabeth Spann Craig

* I happened to be in the Supreme Court (late 80s) for a tour when a justice abruptly and unexpectedly resigned. The ensuing scrambling panic from the formerly-napping press corps was very amusing.

* The only thing vaguely interesting is that I'm a direct descendant of President John Adams (and his son, of course.) Not that that's anything of my doing!

Krista Davis

* A very young and cute Frank Beamer was once my math teacher long before he became the football coach of the Virginia Tech Hokies.

*I was once caught in an exchange of rubber bullets when visiting the troubled Basque region of Spain.

Julie Hyzy

* I spoke on the phone with Ray Bradbury in 2002 when he called me at home.

* I'm a "Brother" in Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity. In fact, I was the first female to join the chapter at Loyola Univerisity in Chicago. PS - My husband is also my "Brother."

Jenn McKinlay

* As a birthday present from my dad, I got a glider flying lesson and actually flew the glider at 6,000 feet for quite a long while.

* I was an extra on a TV show with Peter Strauss called Moloney and it actually aired for several episodes, including the one in which I was moving scenery.

And now that you know all these things about us, we're going to pass along The Fabulous Sugar Doll Blogger Award to one of our friends. Lesa Holstine, hard-working librarian and reviewer of books, we award you The Fabulous Sugar Doll Blogger Award! It's your turn to tell us ten little-known things about yourself!
