Name the Cupcake Contest!

Another release from the Mystery Lover's Kitchen:
Krista's The Diva Paints the Town
is OUT!!! Woo hoo. I can't wait to read it.

And now:

Liar, liar pants on fire!

So, here's what I said to earn my portion

of our Creative Writer Blog Award from Lesa:

1. My genealogy has been traced back to the 1400's
and I had relatives that came over on the Mayflower.

False! Hub made that one up -- pretty good, yes?

2. At six feet tall, I played basketball all through school

and was recruited by several Universities but blew my

knee out in my senior year.

False! I'm six feet tall but a terrible ballplayer, although I love

the game I'm not very good at it.

3. My favorite mode of transportation is my Sector 9

mini-longboard (a skateboard).

True! The dudes and I take our boards out almost

every day. I am happiest when I am sidewalk surfing.

And now we roll into Shameless Self-Promotion!

I am taking a week off from posting recipes to

announce a contest to promote the release

of SPRINKLE WITH MURDER on March 2!

  1. I love the mouse cupcakes, Jenn! They're so cute. And, as shameless Jenn promotion, I booked you for Sat. May 8 for Authors @ The Teague at 2 PM. I didn't know if you received my confirmation email since your email doesn't like me (grin).

And, I certainly guessed wrong on the truth in your statements! Thanks for playing along.

  2. Good red herrings, Jenn! Loved the basketball "tall tale" - lol. Also love your contest and cannot wait to hear about some of the names readers come up with for a brand new cupcake in your next Cupcake Bakery mystery.

Everyone: SPRINKLE WITH MURDER won't be published until March, but I was lucky enough to read it in manuscript form, and I really enjoyed it. The book introduces warm and wonderful characters that will intsantly feel like friends--and of course there's a delicious murder mystery, too.

Congrats again, Jenn, on SPRINKLE's receiving a starred review from Publishers Weekly. Not a bad start to a new series launch. Woot!:)

  6. Jenn, thanks for plugging The Diva Paints the Town! Sophie and Natasha would adore your mouse cupcakes. So clever!

I hope you'll share the cupcake name suggestions. Your contest will be fun!

I've had the good luck to read Sprinkle with Murder in advance. They should sell it with a box of cupcakes because readers will crave them!

  8. Wow, you're a skateboarder! That's definitely my son's arena, although they do have some interesting looking boards that I keep thinking would be good exercise. I can't wait to see the results of the contest. Have fun!

Hey, did anyone see the coding that was in my blog? I fixed it, but I thought it looked like I was swearing. LOL!
