Welcome to Mystery Lovers' Kitchen

Today marks the official launch of Mystery Lovers' Kitchen, where mystery authors cook up crime . . . and recipes! I can hear you thinking -- but you've been posting for a week. That was our preview week, when we were ironing out the kinks. Fortunately, there weren't too many.

The authors of Mystery Lovers' Kitchen write cozy mysteries with food themes. From Julie Hyzy's White House Chef series, to Cleo Coyle's Coffeehouse Mysteries, and Krista Davis's Domestic Diva Mysteries, you're bound to find sleuths and recipes you'll love. In 2010, Avery Adams will launch the Cheese Shop Mystery series, Jenn McKinley's Cupcake Mysteries will debut, and Riley Adams will introduce the Memphis Barbecue Mysteries. In the meantime, we'll all be blogging here six days a week and bringing you guests on Sundays. Look for lots of recipes!

We're kicking things off by having a contest! Every week for the next six weeks, one lucky person will win a $25 gift certificate to Williams-Sonoma kitchenware and gourmet food store. To enter, just leave a comment!

If, for some reason, you are unable to leave a comment, send an "ENTER ME" e-mail with your first name and state to MysteryLoversKitchen@gmail.com. We'll announce the winners right here starting next week. So be sure to check back and see if you won!

We're having a lot of fun with this blog, and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Bon Appetit!

  3. I am going to enjoy this site. I have enjoyed several series that include recipes in the books and now I'll have a whole new group to choose from. There are many people at our library who enjoy this type of book, so I can consider it research for future book orders.
I love to cook, when I have time and it looks like Ill be getting lots of good ideas here.
Good luck with your new site, Ladies!

  7. I have to be honest, I've never read any of the food cozies - but after reading your wonderful blog site and your books, I can see a lot of reading in my future...and cooking, too. Think I'll gain weight? ;)

  8. My books are romantic suspense, but food plays a part in all of them. I've shared some recipes on my website.

  9. How fun! I love foodie cozies. Well, to be honest, I love food. I love cooking and baking, and still kick myself for the time my then-fiance took me to our local W-S and invited me to choose anything I wanted as an engagement present. Silly Kerie. I bypassed the Kitchenaid stand mixers, not wishing to appear greedy, and chose a big ceramic mixing bowl. Did I mention the "THEN" part of then-fiance? Still kicking myself... do I get the sympathy vote?

  11. I am excited about this site and look forward to trying out some new authors and some new foods.
I'd like to also suggest a possible guest author - Michele Scott. She writes a wine lover's mystery series that includes wine information, pairings and recipies too. A nice compliment to the wonderful assortment of yumminess (is that even a word?) already here.
